Not every album the British goth metal outfit recorded along the way was a five-star masterpiece, but even when they came out with an album that wasn't quite up to par, they would eventually bounce back with something impressive -- and A Line of Deathless Kings finds My Dying Bride very much on top of their game.

Upon first hearing "A Line Of Deathless Kings" I was surprised and a little dissapointed to hear no death vocals (other than a few background screams) until the 6th track, Love's Intolerable Pain. However, after listening to this CD several times, I am amazed at how beautiful and unique this is.

My head plenty gray, my soul is in complete acceptance of A Line of Deathless Kings, because, like many other My Dying Bride albums before it, it did not fail to make an emotional connection with me, and that is the number one thing I search for when listening to this band. It is perfectly fine with me that Aaron Stainthorpe is doing 99% clean.
